Being a freelance illustrator allows me to work with some really creative people on a wide range of projects. Over the last few years I’ve been doing largely licensed children’s books and general juvenile illustration. I love to work in 3D as well and look for those opportunities whenever possible.
Having a home-based studio allows me to experience my 2 boys growing up and be around my talented wife more often (she’s a writer). That’s usually a good thing. (ha ha)
I have a BFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design (1988-1992). In a former life I was a staff illustrator at American Greetings. Good times.
